KENT, OH -- The Kent State Golden Flashes dominated first half play, outscoring Ohio 45-15 before intermission on the way to a 75-52 victory Friday at the M.A.C. Center.
It was the eighth straight win for KSU, which moved to 17-9 overall and 12-4 in Mid-American Conference Play. It got to the line for 33 free throws and made 23 -- nearly half its points for the night.
Kent State connected on 52.0 percent overall and enjoyed a 39-28 advantage on the boards.
Malique Jacobs and Giovanni Santiago led a balanced KSU attack with 14 points apiece. Sincere Carry tallied 12 and Justyn Hamilton added 10 as KSU avenged an 80-72 loss in Athens back on Jan. 7.
Three Bobcats reached double figures. Jason Carter led with 12 points, followed by Ben Vanderplas and Mark Sears with 10 each.
