MOUNT PLEASANT, MI -- Anthony Prichard scored 20 points and grabbed nine caroms while Brian Taylor added 13 points to lead Central Michigan (9-9, 4-2 MAC) past Toledo (11-7, 5-1 MAC) Friday at McGuirk Arena.
Toledo trailed 36-23 at intermission but owned a 42-41 edge with 10:56 remaining. Two Prichard free throws moved CMU back in front and the Chippewas remained in front from there.
Dante Maddox registered a game-high 21 points with nine rebounds to lead the Rockets. Raheim Moss and Tyler Cochram contributed 10 apiece.
Central Michigan hit 42.6 percent from the field, while UT connected on 33.9 percent.

KENT, OH -- Enrique Freeman and Ali Ali scored 23 points apiece as visiting Akron (14-4, 6-0 MAC) defeated rival Kent State (9-9, 2-4 MAC) 77-72 Friday at the M.A.C. Center.
The Flashes still trailed 36-22 at intermission but began to chip away. They pulled within three points (72-69) with 44 seconds remaining but UA put the verdict away with five free throws -- four by Ali -- down the stretch.
Four Kent State players reached double figures. Giovanni Santiago (16) and Tyem Freeman (14) came off the bench to lead the way. Reggie Bass (11) and Voncammeron Davis (10) combined for another 21 points.
