TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo sent its 22 seniors out in style on Saturday afternoon with a dominating 49-14 victory over Akron (2-10, 1-7 MAC) at the Glass Bowl in its final regular season game. The Rockets (7-5, 5-3 MAC) will now wait until the bowl announcements on Sunday, Dec. 5 to see where they will head for their postseason.

Redshirt freshman Dequan Finn threw for 257 yards and four touchdowns in the victory, with junior Bryant Koback pacing the Rockets on the ground with 135 yards and two touchdowns. Koback, who also was the recipient of one of Finn's scoring tosses, now has 45 career rushing touchdowns, one more than Kareem Hunt (2013-16). Chester Taylor holds the all-time record with 56 from 1998-2001.

Junior Matt Landers caught a team-high five passes for 57 yards and was one of 10 Rockets to catch a pass.

Junior Jamal Hines led Toledo's defensive effort with seven tackles and 2.5 sacks.

FIRST QUARTER
Bryant Koback capped off an 11-play, 76-yard drive with a two-yard plunge into the end zone that gave the Rockets an early 7-0 lead.

SECOND QUARTER
Akron tied the score early in the second quarter on Jonzell Norrils' three-yard scoring run. Toledo answered the Zips' touchdown at the start of the second quarter by scoring twice to take control. With the Rockets facing 3rd-and-36, Koback took a screen pass from Finn at midfield and eluded several tacklers to score his second touchdown from 51 yards out. Finn capped off the first-half scoring by lofting a 23-yard pass to Devin Maddox into the end zone for a 21-7 lead.

THIRD QUARTER
Koback scampered 44 yards down the sideline to increase the Rockets' lead to three touchdowns with 8:29 remaining in the third quarter. Toledo scored again less than three minutes later when Finn found senior Drew Rosi wide open for a 33-yard touchdown.

FOURTH QUARTER
Finn connected with Isaiah Winstead from 22 yards out for his final score of the game 13 seconds into the final frame. Norrils scored his second touchdown on a 72-yard pass from Kato Nelson. Freshman Lamy Constant closed out the scoring with his first career touchdown, a 13-yard run with 24 seconds to play.
