At least on the surface -- and maybe a layor or two deeper than that - Saturday's Eastern Michigan at Toledo matchup would seem to have a David vs. Goliath feel to it.
The hosting Rockets sport a perfect 5-0 record (2-0 MAC) and are ranked No. 22 in this week's AP poll. EMU, on the other hand, owns just one win and is currently on a four-game losing streak.
This is the 43rd meeting between the two schools, who are separated by about 50 miles. Toledo holds a 31-11 advantage. The Rockets have won the last eight meetings and 14 of the last 15.

> The Eagles trailed Akron 21-14 before the Zips scored 26 straight points in a 47-21 UA victory last Saturday. Three Eastern turnovers and eight penalties totaling 90 yards contributed to EMU issues.
> EMU quarterback Brogan Roback completed 23 of 34 passes for 204 yards against UA with three touchdowns and one interception.
> Freshman Eddie Daugherty caught seven passes for 107 yards. It was his third game with over 100 receiving yards. Daugherty and Dustin Creel have combined for 40 catches, 576 yards annd six touchdowns.
> Darius Jackson has been the workhorse on the run game, logging 102 carries for 585 yards with eight TDs. Shaq Vann has contributed 327 yards with four touchdowns among his 49 attempts.
> Eastern Michigan ranks third in scoring offense (29.7 ppg) and 12th in scoring defense (40.7 ppg).
> While Eastern is first in pass defense (135.o ypg), it is last in rushing defense (360.3 ypg). One contributing factor to the latter is the Army game. Army rolled up 556 yards rushing with its option attack.
TOLEDO (5-0, 2-0 MAC)
> UT owns the MAC's top ground game (197.8 ypg). It is also first in rushing defense (89.0 ypg).
> Junior running back Kareem Hunt saw action for the second time in five games last week. He got the call for 16 carries, picking up 85 yards with two TDs.
> Sophomore Terry Swanson and junior Damion Jones-Moore have stepped in during Hunt's absences. They've combined for 108 carries, 619 yards and seven TDs.
> Toledo's top three receivers are Cody Thompson (14 receptions, 264 yards, 1 TD), Alonzo Russell (14 receptions, 227 yards, 2 TDs), and Corey Jones (24 receptions, 193 yards, 2 TDs).
