Kansas rarely missed in the first half, registering an impressive 75.0 shooting mark that . . .
Senior guard Tre'Shaun Fletcher and junior forward Nate Navigato topped Toledo with 12 points apiece, while junior guard Jaelan Sanford added nine points. Fletcher also paced the Rockets with six rebounds and three assists in 32 minutes.
Toledo trailed by a 7-0 margin early in the contest before back-to-back three-point field goals from Fletcher and sophomore center Luke Knapke evened the score at 9-9. Kansas responded with a five-point burst, but a trey from freshman guard Marreon Jackson brought UT within a basket.
The Jayhawks then took control with a 30-2 spurt midway through the first half as the Rockets saw an 18-15 deficit balloon to 48-17 with 4:04 remaining in the opening stanza.
Kansas didn't let up the rest of the way and took a 59-30 lead into intermission.
Toledo returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 2 when it hosts Texas Southern. Tip-off time in Savage Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
