ATHENS, Ohio -- Tennessee State held a 10-point lead midway through the second half, but managed just one field goal the rest of the way as Ohio rallied for a 75-67 win over the Tigers at the Convocation Center.
Tahjere McCall tallied on layup with 28 seconds remaining, cutting Ohio's lead to 73-67, but the Bobcats added two more free throws to close out scoring.
Tennessee Tech got to the charity stripe for 28 tosses and made 20, but Ohio converted 19 of its 20 chances from the line.
The hosts put four playes in double figures: Jordan Dartis (17), Jaaron Simmons (15), Antonio Campbell )12) and Favin Block (12). Dartis, who hit 5 of 9 from beyond the arc) and Blcok came of the bench. Forward Wadly Mompremier registered four blocks.
