
ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio Bobcats (2-0) piled up 15 three-pointers and four players finished in double figures to pave the way to a 96-75 victory over Sam Houston State (1-1) on Monday at the Convocation Center.
The Bobcats' 15 treys tied for the fifth-most in a game in program history. Ohio shot 52.5 percent (31-of-59) from the field -- including 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from beyond the arc -- while limiting the Bearkats to just 38.8 percent (26-of-67) -- including 37.5 percent (9-of-24) from three-point range.
Senior forward Antonio Campbell,redshirt senior forward Kenny Kaminski, sophomore guard Jordan Dartis and sophomore guard Gavin Block combined for 65 of Ohio's 96 points.
Campbell led all scorers with a season-high 20 points -- shooting 50 percent (7-of-14) from the field. He also hauled in a season-high nine rebounds to lead the team, blocked two shots and dished out an assist in 24 minutes.
Kaminski dropped a season-high 17 points, going 6-of-8 from the field -- including a perfect five-of-five from three. He has knocked down at least five treys in a game eight times during his Ohio career.
