The Buffalo Bulls play in one of two non-conference match-ups this week. (Toledo-BYU is the other). UB dropped its first two games of the season, but managed to pull out an overtime win against Army, 23-20, last week.
Boston College evened its record at 2-2 last week when it blasted Wagner 42-10. It was a near inverse of the previous week, when . . .

. . . hosting Virginia Tech skunked BC, 49-0. With an ACC conference game against No. 5 on the horizon (Oct. 7), BC will try to keep its focus on Buffalo this week.

This is the ninth meeting between the two programs, with the Eagles leading the all-time series, 6-2. The last meeting was in 2006, when Boston College overwhelmed UB, 41-0.
