It’s a little early to be using the word “destiny” for the 2016 Central  Michigan Chippewas, but with a win Saturday at Virginia, CMU will enter MAC play on the heels of a non-conference play sweep.

Never mind that Week Five will bring one of the biggest matchups of the MAC season (Western Michigan at Central Michigan). First things first, and that is Virginia on the road.

The Cavaliers, by way of contrast, will . . .

. . . be trying to avoid another kind of sweep – losing their entire non-conference slate! Yes, that’s right. UVA has thus far lost all three outings, with the closest margin of defeat being three points (13-10) last week at Connecticut.
