-- Hosting UT put up two early touchdowns and led 24-7 at the half. Western Michigan bounced back, with 10 third quarter points to pull within 24-17. After trading touchdowns, WMU mounted a late fourth period drive, but the Rockets gave up 20 yards on Western's 4th-and-20 play. Toledo then ran out the clock
-- Bryant Koback continued to shine for Toledo as he rushed for 177 yards on 21 carries. It was the second time this year and fourth in his career that Koback topped 100 yards.
-- Quarterbck Mitchell Guadagni accounted for four touchdowns. In addition to scoring on a pair of short runs, he completed 14 of 22 tosses for two touchdowns with one interception.
Bryce Mitchell opened scoring with a 38-yard TD reception and Devin Maddox caught a 5-yard scoring strike in the opening stanza.
