The class includes one special teams, 12 defensive and 12 offensive players representing 15 different states with four recruits signing out of Florida, three from Michigan, three from Ohio, and two each from Iowa, New Jersey and Texas. On defense, EMU adds four recruits at defensive line, three at linebacker and five in the defensive backfield, while signing four wide receivers, four tight ends, two offensive linemen and two running backs on offense.
"We are extremely excited about this recruiting class," said Creighton. "Ultimately, I judge a class after their graduation and reflecting on their on-and-off the field accomplishments throughout their careers. At this point, this class is talented for sure, but just as important they are fired up about significantly impacting our program and helping us become what we all know we are capable of becoming. These guys are the kind of high character people and quality players we believe we could attract and assemble here at Eastern Michigan. Now that it has come to fruition, we look forward to getting to work and getting better."
The highly anticipated class features 19 different players ranked by the national recruiting services, including six rated as three-star prospects.
Back in January, Creighton announced that three junior college transfers signed NLIs during the mid-year transfer period and were enrolled in school for the winter semester. Junior college transfers Anthony Brown (Iowa City, Iowa-West-Iowa Western C.C.), Ikie Calderon (Neptune, N.J.-Neptune-College of the Desert) and Juan Giraldo (Gilbert, Ariz.-Mesquite -Mesa C.C.) will all participate in spring practice prior to the 2015 season.
